The first low power Hall thruster of JLPP successfully launched

On January 13, 2023, the Long March 2D launch vehicle was successfully launched from Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center, putting the Qilu-2 and 3 satellite into the predetermined orbit and making the mission a complete success. The Lphet-100 on  the Qilu-3 developed by JLPP is the first university-developed low power Hall thruster to perform an in-orbit mission, which with the permanent magnetic circuit.

During the development of Lphet-100, many challenges have been overcome by the researchers in JLPP. This thruster is used to raise the satellite’s orbit and performs a years-long mission.
