On April 1, 2022, Zhi Xianwei, Deputy Secretary and Mayor of Changping District, Beijing, and Director of Beijing Future Science City Management Committee (concurrently), and his delegation visited JLPP Lab at Beihang Shahe Campus. Lab teacher Zhang Zun, doctoral students Zhang Guangchuan and Wu Peng, and master student Lu Siyu received the delegation of Governor Zhi.

Mr. Zhang Zun and Mr. Zhang Guangchuan gave a detailed introduction of the life experiment of the core module of “Tianhe”, the development of the SSS-1 small satellite ion droplet thruster and the in-orbit situation, etc. Mr. Zhi Xianwei first visited the DJT-2.5 high vacuum large vacuum test equipment. Zhi Xianwei also visited the ongoing ion thruster life experiment.

The second stop of Xianwei Zhi visited the VT-250 large high-temperature diffusion pump vacuum equipment. Mr. Zun Zhang and Peng Wu introduced in detail the original and leading work of this lab in ultra-high-power magnetic plasma thrusters, and introduced the spectroscopy and probe diagnostic system of the lab. Meanwhile, Xianwei Zhi also listened to the future development direction of the lab introduced by Mr. Zun Zhang.

Zhi Xianwei highly affirmed the achievements of JLPP in the major national-oriented scientific research work, and showed great interest in the future direction of intelligent electric propulsion of the laboratory, and put forward guiding opinions and ideas for the development and construction of JLPP laboratory.
